Gluten-Free Cinnamon Doughnut Holes

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (105 g) sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups (225 g) all-purpose gluten-free flour
- 1/2 cup (65 g) ground almonds
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup (160 g) sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) unsweetened applesauce
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) buttermilk
- Vegetable oil, for frying
