Chrystine Brouillet’s Chocolate Balls (Chokladbollar)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
  • 1/4 lb (117 g) butter
  • 2 cups (500 ml) corn flakes (such as Kellogg's), coarsely crushed
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) shredded coconut
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons (70 ml) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) coffee
  • Grated coconut, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sugar with the butter. Add the corn flakes, coconut, cocoa powder, vanilla, and coffee or rum.
  2. Shape into small balls, roll in the shredded coconut or chocolate shavings and refrigerate until ready to serve.
