Chocolate-Black Bean Spread
Ingredients
- 1 can (19 oz/540 ml) black beans, rinsed and drained
- ¼ cup (60 ml) almond butter
- ¼ cup (60 ml) maple syrup
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tbsp roasted sliced almonds
- Orange zest, finely grated, to taste
Instructions
- In a food processor, purée all of the ingredients until smooth, about 6 to 8 minutes. Add a small amount of water as needed. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the food processor a few times. Transfer to a serving bowl or shallow dish, making a decorative swirl with a spoon..
