Banana Splits with Cranberry Compote and Coffee Caramel Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) sugar
- 1 cup (250 ml) water
- 2 cups (500 ml) fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
- 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) 35% cream
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) strong coffee
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) salted butter
- Vanilla ice cream
- 4 bananas, peeled and halved lengthwise
- 1/3 cup (75 ml) pecans, toasted and coarsely chopped
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the sugar and water to a boil. Add the cranberries. Bring back to a boil. Remove from the heat and let cool partially. Refrigerate for 12 hours.
