Sesame-Soy Shishito Chili Peppers
For cocktail hour, serve tiny grilled shishito chilis coated with a mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice, honey and garlic. Dip them in a spicy mayo and nibble on them while entertaining your guests. Way more addictive than chips!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 1 tsp fresh cayenne chili pepper, seeded and finely chopped (see note)
- 1 lemon, zest finely grated
- 1 tbsp roasted white and black sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) soy sauce
- 2 tsp (10 ml) lemon juice
- 1 tsp (5 ml) honey
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1/2 lb (225 g) whole shishito chili peppers
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) sesame oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients. Season with salt.
