Italian-Style Nachos
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) cherry tomatoes, cut into quarters
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) olive oil
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh basil, chopped
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 4 cups (1 litre) thinly sliced stale baguette bread
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) grated mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the tomatoes, oil, basil, onion, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Add the bread and toss well.
- Spread on the baking sheet and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown and the bread is crispy. Serve immediately.
