Grilled Cheese and Trail Mix Crackers
Ingredients
- 32 crackers, of your choice (such as Carr's)
- 1 triple cream cheese (Saint-Honoré and Saint-André) about 200 g, cut into 32 thin wedges
- 1/3 cup (75 ml) trail mix, coarsely chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey
Instructions
- Preheat the grill, setting the burners on high or place a cooking grate over a charcoal fire.
- Place half the crackers at once on a baking sheet. Top each cracker with a piece of cheese. Sprinkle with trail mix. Drizzle with honey.
- Place the baking sheet on the grill or fire and cook for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese softens slightly. The cooking time will vary depending on the intensity of the fire and will be shorter if you close the grill. Serve immediately.
