Ингредиенты

  • 1/2 vanilla bean 

  • 12 pears, peeled, cored and cut into pieces 

  • Juice of 1 lemon 

  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) honey
  • Star Anise 

  • 1 2-inch (5-cm) cinnamon stick
  • 2 pinches nutmeg 




Инструкция

  1. With the tip of a knife, split the vanilla bean in half and remove the seeds.
  2. In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients, including the vanilla seeds and pod. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove the vanilla pod, star anise and cinnamon from the compote. Serve warm or cold.
