Healthy Spaghettini Carbonara
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup (250 ml) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 6 slices Black Forest ham, cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 lb (375 g) spaghettini, cooked and kept warm
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat together the milk, eggs, and Parmesan cheese. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, sauté the green onions and ham in the oil until the onions begin to brown. Add the flour and stir to combine.
- Over low heat, stir in the egg mixture. Stir until
- the cheese has melted. Do not overcook.
- Add the pasta and season with salt and pepper. Toss and serve.
