Fondue Sauces
Ingredients
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) tomato paste
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) white wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) 10% plain yogurt
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) peanut butter
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) freshly ground pepper
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) mirin
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh coriander, finely chopped
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sambal oelek
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a small pot over medium-high heat, soften the onion in the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the tomato paste, vinegar and sugar. Continue cooking for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Let cool.
- Whisk in the mayonnaise. Adjust the seasoning. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
