Grilled Tofu with Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ cup (125 ml) chili sauce
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) piri-piri sauce (see note)
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 lb (450 g) firm or extra- firm tofu, cut into ½ inch (1 cm) thick slices
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
- 1 red pepper, seeded and cut into 12 wedges
- 1 yellow pepper, seeded and cut into 12 wedges
- 1 large red onion, cut into 12 wedges
- A few lettuce leaves, to taste
- 1 avocado, cut into 8 wedges
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- In a small pot, combine all of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
